Service for 1970 to 1995 Models

It’s a pretty wide range, but the DNA is common from 1970 to 1995. Complete service and restoration is available for everything from the early short wheelbase slash 5’s all the way up to the paralever R100’s of the mid 1990’s.

Typical Service for 1970’s bikes

For the most part the early to mid seventies models are becoming very collectible and, frankly, a little worn out. These bikes typically come to me needing the most amount of work compared to any other model. Generally they need:

  • Complete head service

  • Cylinder re-bore

  • Various Seals and Gaskets

  • Carb overhaul

  • Steering Bearings

  • Tuning

Next Level

When the bike has seen higher mileage the following becomes more typical:

  • Clutch replacement

  • Gearbox Overhaul

  • Complete Engine Overhaul

  • Final Drive Rebuild

  • Suspension

Good, Better, Best

Clients needing the above services will often elect to take the repair to a higher standard and at that point the project will turn into a restoration. This would include:

  • Total bike disassembly and inspection

  • Frame paint or powder coat

  • Body paint and striping

  • Model and period correct repair and replacement of every detail such as the seat, the switches, suspension, wheels, etc.

  • Perfection limited only by the budget
